Proper alignment of employee and customer enagagement contribute to a brand culture

 

Creating a large pool of loyal customers is extremely important to the sustainability of a business, but it is the employees that are the enabler of the products and innovations.  Having loyal employees and loyal customers allow companies to sell products more successfully than average. Great products and excellent employee service are crucial to creating loyal customers and growing a business.

INWARD'S TOP FIVE BUSINESS PREDICTIONS FOR 2018

 

This week I am sure you are seeing many thought leadership articles, opinion pieces and blog posts addressing business, marketing and technology predictions for this new year. So far, I have seen discussions on mobile technologies, continued mergers and acquisitions, the raging tech stock market, artificial intelligence and the list goes on. One thing is for sure, the proverbial crystal ball for 2018 will be cloudy. No one knows for sure what will happen or what will become reality.

Chick HERE How it will impact employees and consumers

 

This past Sunday CVS Health agreed to acquire Aetna for over $69 billion.  Wow! The new company, combining one of the country’s biggest pharmacies with one of its largest health insurers, will create a world where patients will get the “human touch,” they said. Fewer people will fall through the cracks, they promised, and getting high-quality, low-cost medical care will be as close as your corner drugstore.

Chick HERE TO LEARN MORE

A few weeks ago, I came across a “Blue Ribbon Commission Report by National Association of Corporate Directors discussing “Culture as a Corporate Asset”. The report proclaimed that corporate cultures matter in business. I was a bit surprised because I thought that was obvious. I previewed some of the findings, and I promised to share my thoughts on the report over time. From our beginning 19 years ago, Inward believed culture is the way work gets done. Culture is the sum total of behaviors, beliefs and decisions that leadership exhibits to create a positive and conducive business environment that allows positive implementation of the company strategy.

Last week I read a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal. They previewed a National Association of Corporate Directors blue ribbon commission report proclaiming that corporate cultures matter in business. WHAT?  You would think that was obvious. So why has it taken so long for corporate boards to notice? Having a high-performance culture isn’t new! Maybe boards of directors just don’t understand what culture means. Culture is a set of shared assumptions about how to think, feel and act. Culture is the way work gets done. Culture is the sum total of behaviors, beliefs and decisions that leadership exhibits to create a positive and conducive business environment that allows positive implementation of the company strategy.

Chick HERE to CREATE A HEALTHY CULTURE OF DEBATE

This past week there has been a firestorm of controversy in regard to President Trump’s lashing out at NFL players who kneel in protest during the national anthem. The reaction is playing out on TV network broadcasts, social media, including Twitter. It is reported that there were as many as 3.8 million tweets on Sunday alone on this topic. It seems we cannot have a civil conversation with friends or colleagues without some debate of who was right, who was wrong, what is the real focus of the protests and the racial divisiveness it has created.
