Employee Engagement, Core Dimensions of Performance
July 25, 2018
I have always been a big fan of Peter Drucker, with his writings, theories and principles. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this management sage, he authored over 39 management books and was on the speed dial of many leading CEOs around the globe. According to Wikipedia, Drucker taught that management is "a liberal art," and he infused his management advice with interdisciplinary lessons from history, sociology, psychology, philosophy, culture and religion.

Creating a large pool of loyal customers is extremely important to the sustainability of a business, but it is the employees that are the enabler of the products and innovations. Having loyal employees and loyal customers allow companies to sell products more successfully than average. Great products and excellent employee service are crucial to creating loyal customers and growing a business.

Chick HERE to see what we have learned over 19 years
October 30, 2017
It was 19 years ago that we first started building our own brand identity. At the time, many companies were conducting large-scale process redesign and reengineering programs. Reportedly, close to 50% of those programs were failing, and 80% of the credit was given to reasons related to company culture clashes. Our thinking? What could we do to help organizations deal with enterprise change, culture realignment and internal branding?

How To Create An Effective Content Distribution Strategy
September 14, 2016
The fragmentation of the media landscape has fundamentally changed how consumers interact with content. Gone are the “Mad Men” days where advertising relied on a clever idea, a catchy tagline, and eye-catching visuals. While these are still integral elements of any marketing campaign, an effective content distribution strategy has become just as important, if not more so. Consumers have thousands of content providers to choose from, and just as many ways to access it. On top of this already fragmented media landscape, the proliferation of social media has revolutionized how consumers interact with each other and interact with brands. Companies rely heavily on social media as both a distribution channel and a feedback loop; keeping audiences informed of the offering, while gathering sentiment and fielding requests.

Pokémon Go Revolutionizes Mobile Gaming And Augmented Reality
July 14, 2016
In 1996, Nintendo released a role-playing game for their handheld Game Boy system called Pokémon, short for “pocket monsters”. In this game, “trainers” explored a world filled with animal-like characters called Pokémon. The goal was to catch Pokémon in a ball, and then train them by battling other Pokémon. As you gained experience, your Pokémon evolved, and became stronger. With the help of a USB wire connecting two Game Boys, users could trade and fight their Pokémon with friends. This social element of the game would become a crucial element to its success.

June 7, 2016
I recently had the opportunity to attend a very informative event held by the Boston chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. It was a panel discussion called “Internal Communications In Times of Change”, where HR, marketing, and communications professionals from a variety of industries came together to discuss trends in internal corporate communications and participate in an open Q+A session.

Enterprise Social Networks – Connecting Employees And Simplifying Communication
May 10, 2016
Over the past decade, the rise of social networks has been the most transformational trend in how we communicate. Facebook has changed the way we communicate with friends and family and display our digital selves to the world. Real time social feeds like Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat have fundamentally altered the way we consume news, opinions, advertising, and everything in between (for better or worse).

April 21, 2015
I often get asked the question, "What is the biggest obstacle for gaining acceptance for internal change?” The answer is simple. Socialize your ideas and let your colleagues contribute to the outcome.
