CULTURE, VALUES AND BEHAVIOR ALIGNMENT AND SHARED AMBITION

Banfield Pet Hospital

Challenge: The senior leadership team at Banfield Pet Hospital took it upon themselves to reassess their culture and values to ensure appropriate means for decision-making, behaviors and beliefs. They wanted the organization to feel accountable to their values as a result of being acquired by Mars Pet Group, and their five core value principles.

Solution: Management requested the services of Inward Strategic Consulting to assist in establishing a shared vision, assess current reality and to help implement a strategic action plan for the short-term and long-term programming. Each member of the senior leadership team participated in an in-depth interview which was followed by an off-site Visioneering® session that resulted in clarity of purpose, culture and areas for improvement to close the gaps and assign priority activities. The off-site was followed with a comprehensive internal communications program designed to build 1) awareness, 2) understanding, 3) peer recognition and 4) incentives and rewards to adopt new behaviors.
